The parishioners of Milagres Cathedral, Kallianpur, joyfully celebrated the birthday of Rev. Fr. Pradeep Cardoza, Assistant Parish Priest, on 18th September 2025. The celebration began with the Holy Eucharist at 6:45 a.m. at Milagres Cathedral. The Mass was concelebrated by Fr. Pradeep Cardoza, Msgr. Ferdinand Gonsalves, Parish Priest and Vicar General of the Diocese of Udupi, and Fr. Parel Fernandes, Spiritual Director of the Pilar Fathers. The liturgy was further enriched by the melodious voices of the choir, which added devotion and beauty to the celebration.
Following the Mass, a brief yet meaningful birthday gathering was held. The program was compered by Mrs. Sharon Dsouza, while Mrs. Diana Dsouza extended a warm welcome to the gathering. The choir members sang a special wishing song as Fr. Pradeep cut the cake, marking the joyous occasion. Dr. Gerald Pinto shared his reflections, recalling fondly that Fr. Pradeep would be remembered among the few Assistant Parish Priests who made a lasting impression on him.
Fr. Pradeep, in his response, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all those who had come together to celebrate his special day, especially the members of the parish finance committee. Msgr. Ferdinand Gonsalves delivered the presidential address, appreciating the young priest’s dedicated service to the parish. Ms. Janice Dsouza proposed the vote of thanks, after which parishioners personally greeted and conveyed their good wishes to Fr. Pradeep.
The celebration concluded with a spirit of joy, gratitude, and fellowship, making the day a memorable one for both the parish community and the celebrant.
