With Parish Day 2025 just around the corner, ICYM Milagres organised POOKALAM, a vibrant floral rangoli competition that invited parishioners to showcase their creativity and talent. The event brought together members from 11 wards, all participating with great enthusiasm and zeal.
The program began with a short prayer, followed by a brief formal session during which Msgr. Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves shared his thoughts on the importance of hosting such events to foster unity and togetherness within the parish community.
After the formalities, parishioners enthusiastically got to work on their floral rangolis, using flowers of vivid and diverse colours. They made the most of the 90 minutes allotted, putting in their best efforts to make their creations stand out. The entire venue soon bloomed with colour and fragrance—a visual and aromatic treat for the judges and organisers alike.
The winners of the competition were announced as follows:
1st Place: Edbettu Ward
2nd Place: Milagres A Ward
3rd Place: Tenkabettu Ward
The event concluded on a joyful note, with heartfelt appreciation extended to all participants for their creativity and spirit of community.
