Kallianpur, January 20th: Milagres Cathedral Church in Kallianpur celebrated Confraternity Sunday, locally known as “Compri Festh,” on January 19th. This significant event, which precedes the annual parish feast, saw parishioners and devotees gather at 4 pm to commemorate unity, integrity, and fraternity in Christ.
The celebration commenced with the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Fr. Luois Dsa, the parish priest of Nakre. He was joined by Msgr. Ferdinand Gonsalves, Fr. Pradeep Cardoza, and Dr. Jencil Alva. In his homily, Fr. Dsa emphasized the importance of unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and highlighted the miracles that occur when prayer is integrated into daily life.
Following the mass, a procession carrying the blessed sacrament moved from the church to Ozanam, a home for the elderly. Devotees participated in the procession, singing hymns in devotion.
This event served as a reminder of the importance of community and spiritual togetherness within the parish.
