Two days State level Seminar at Milagres College


Kallianpur : Even though more than 1500 languages in India, we should give support to National language Hindi. Due to various media channels Hindi language developed lot said by Pramod Madwaraj local MLA & Entrepreneur during inaugural address of UGC sponsored two days state level seminar on “Karnataka mein Hindi ka Pracher aur prasar” at Milagres College Silver Jubilee Hall which organized by Milagres College and Mangalore University Hindi Teachers Association on Tuesday, 20th August, 2013.

He further said that we should unite to learn & publish Hindi language in our surroundings. During his school days by default he joined to learn Hindi as first language. He loves Hindi language as well.Meanwhile, Pramod Madwaraj was felicitated by Fr. Stany B. Lobo on behalf of Milagres College Management.

Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo, Mrs. Sophia Dias HOD of Hindi in Milagres College, Dr. Jayanthi Prasad Nautiyal AGM, Corporation Bank, Dr. N.P. Narayana Shetty President of Mangalore University Hindi Teachers Association were others who present on the dais.

Dr. Nery Cornelio presided the inaugural ceremony. Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo Correspondent of the Milagres Institutions blessed the occasion and said in Hindi that youths should concentrate our national language Hindi and so it will develops. Dr. Jayanthi Prasad Nautiyal AGM, Corporation Bank, Mangalore  was the chief guest. During his keynote address he said that non speaking states of South India now a days speaking Hindi which is great. Tippu Sultan and Moguls started to publish Hindi in Southern states during their rule. In Karnataka also government given importance to spread Hindi.

Earlier prayer by Milagres college students,  Smt Sophia Dias, Co-ordinator & H.O.D. of Hindi gave introductionery talk and welcomed the gatherings. Dr. N.P. Narayana Shetty, President of Mangalore University Hindi Teachers’ Association proposed vote of thanks. Dr. Sukanya Mary J. Martis compered the programme.

 

Several delegates from the state were present during the occasion. Two days seminar which concludes on Wednesday.
