Ramazan celebrated at Milagres English School


Kallianpur : Ramzan celebrated at Milagres English School Hall on Wednesday, 7th August, 2013. Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo Correspondant of the Milagres Institutions presided the occasion. Maulana Usman Madani, Moulana of Nejar Mosque was the chief guest. Entrepreneur K. Ashraf and Rev Fr. Mahesh D’Souza Headmaster of Milagres School shared the dais.

Ramadan is the 9th month of the Islamic calendar. Muslims world wide will observe the month in different ways with their cultural customs with Islamic traditions of prayer and fasting.Fasting is compulsory to all adult muslims. Ramadan is indeed a season of prayer. It is the festival of virtue. The month of Ramadan comes to an end with the celebration of Eid.

Prayers, quavali, and reading from the Quran were held during the celebrations. Muslim students of the school wear white colour dress during the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion Moulana Usman Madani said that we should give every respect to every religion with great dignity and should maintain communal harmony. Its great that Milagres school celebrating Ramazan with other religious students. We should give repect to our gurus’ and teachers which important in our life.

Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo during his presiding address said that Ramadan teaches Muslims how to better practice self-discipline, self control and sacrifice for those who are less fortunate. Ramadan helps us to keep self discipline.

Rev Fr. Mahesh D’souza welcomed the gatherings and gave message to all. Students and teachers of Milagres English school witnessed the celebration of Ramzan.
