Farewell to Fr. Stany B Lobo and Fr Rolwin Aranha, priests of Milagres Cathedral, Kallianpur


Udupi : The farewell bid programme to transferring Rector and Vicar of Milagres Cathedral Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo and Rev Fr. Rolwin Joy Aranha Assist. Parish priest held on Sunday, 27th May, at Milagres Tri-centenary Hall.

 

 

Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo will transfer to St Francis Xavier Church, Udyavar as a vicar of the parish and Rev Fr. Rolwin Aranha also transferring to same place at Udyavar as asst. parish priest. Fr. Stany B. Lobo also will serve as Chancellor of Udupi diocese.

The programme began with invocation prayer by Milagres Choir group. Dr. Nery Cornelio spoke on the Vicar for his services in the parish as well as assistant vicar. Felciana Lewis placed the letter of appreciation on Fr. Stany Lobo. On behalf of parishioners’ Dr. Nery Cornelio and others on the dais felicitated Fr. Staby B. Lobo with shawl, basket of fresh fruits, memento etc.

 

 

Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo after the felicitation programme gave gratitude to all concerned for his memorable services for the church since seven years.

Meanwhile, Rev Fr. Rolwin Aranha also felicitated by Dr Nery Cornelio and others on the dais for his outstanding services as assistant parish priest for four years after his ordination at Shirva. He also gave gratitude for the parishioners during his address after the felicitation.

Later, the parishioners gave memorable flowers to both the transferring priests as their love towards the transferring priests for their valuable and divine services.

Rev Fr. Lancy Fernandes sj Principal of Milagres English Medium School, Rev Fr. Henry Mascarenhas Chaplain of Ozanum Home for the Aged, Rev Fr. Joswey Mascarenhas Vocational Director of Pilar Fathers were present on the dais.

Earlier Xavier Fernandes Convener of 18 pastoral commissions welcomed the gatherings. Rosy V Baretto President of St Vincent de Paul Society, Church conference proposed vote of thanks. Eugene Rebello compered the programme. The large number of parishioners present during the occasion.
