NAAC for college is compulsion but not option - Prof. Mahesh Rao at Milagres College, Kallianpur


Udupi : Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Milagres College, Kallianpur in association with Association of First Grade College Principals of Mangalore University organized one day National Seminar on NAAC New Methodology and Quality Sustenance at Milagres College Audio Video Hall near here on Friday, 16th March, 2018.

 

 

The programme began with invocation prayer by Mrs Anupama and team. Dr. Vincent Alva, Principal of Milagres College presided over the inaugural programme.

After inaugurating the one day seminar, Prof. Mahesh Rao, Joint Director, Department of Collegiate Education, said that NAAC is compulsion but not option. Principal always working for the college and they are in favour of the college. When the college gets good grade, it will benefits to Principals, management and also to students. College works as a team to get the NAAC good grade. Everyone of the college involved to get the good grade.

 

 

There has been a change in tradition of internal quality assurance cell which works full academic year. There should not be any complaints against the college. The primary duty of the teachers is to conduct the classes regularly. The planned work for NAAC will able to get good grade for the college.

The retired Prof. Peter D’Souza of Milagres College was released the book “Literary Echoes” during the occasion.

Prof. Samuel K Samuel, Principal of Crossland College, Brahmavar and also President of Association of Principals of Mangalore University gave his message.

Dr. Denis Fernandes, Professor from St Aloysius College, Mangalore was the resource person of the occasion.

Earlier Dr. Jayaram Shettigar, IQAC Coordinator, Milagres College Kallianpur welcomed the gathering. Prof Rajan, Principal of St Mary’s College, Shirva and Vice President of Association of Principals of Mangalore University present on the dais.

Prof. Annamma, Department of Economics delivered vote of thanks. Mrs. Sheril Vigiliya, Department of Commerce compered the inaugural programme.
