Udupi : “To attain success, keep your goal in front of you and your teacher behind you,” says Udupi SP at the Passing Out Parade of 10th std at Milagres Eng Medium School, Kallianpur.


Milagres English Medium organised a grand and fabulous “Passing Out Parade” for its 10thstd students on February 17, 2018 @10 am. It was a memorable day totally planned and executed by 9thstd students.


The outgoing batch looked awesome in colourful attire. After a quick photo session, the programme commenced. Each student entered the hall with a lit candle symbolising their life. The initial prayer service added spiritual aura to the event. On behalf of the outgoing batch, Ms Juwariya and Ms Aishwarya Bhat shared their sentiments and memories of school days from KG to 10std.


Very Rev Fr Stany B Lobo, Correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions, was the chief guest. He distributed the mementos to the outgoing students. The toppers in diocesan level Catechism and Value Education were also felicitated. The Juniors shared their sentiments about the seniors. In his speech, Fr Stany B Lobo congratulated the students for choosing to be educated in this institution. He expressed joy seeing some of them speaking fluent English. He wished them all the very best in their future studies.

The Guest of Honour Mr Laxman Nimbargi, Superintendent of Police, Udupi District arrived at the right moment of cultural extravaganza. He gave away the prizes for the “Best Study Groups.” In his address, he shared his tough life experience. He said that though he came from Kannada medium background he did not lose hope of a great career. He said, “I scored 94% in 10 std and struggled in first PUC to cope up with English. Though I did not do well in I PU I could not believe that hard work and commitment could give me 99% marks that changed my life for ever.”

Several spot games and presentations of memories of the past added glamour to the celebration. Dr Neri Cornelio and Mr Owin Rodrigues, representatives of Management Committee, Mr Ratnakar Kotian, President of PTA, Mrs Veera D Silva, Headmistress and Fr Lancy Fernandes Sj, Headmaster were present. The programme ended with the sumptuous lunch.
