One who never forgets parents and teacher in the career - Pramod Madhwaraj

Udupi : On the occasion of Post Centenary Silver Jubilee celebrations of the St. Joseph’s Higher Primary School, Kallianpur near here laid the foundation stone for the School new building on Saturday, 16th December, 2017.


After foundation stone laying ceremony, Pramod Madhwaraj, Minster for Fisheries, Sports and Youth Empowerment, Government of Karnataka said that we should remember of the founders of the school for their sacrifices and devotion to the school. Thousands of students studied since 125 years for their better career. One who never forgets parents as well as the teachers of the School studied. The initiative of constructing the building at the cost of Rs. 125 lakhs on the year 125 will be appreciated, he said.


Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo Correspondent of the Milagres Educational Institutions blessed the foundation stones for the new school building.


Zilla Panchayat President Dinakar Babu said that the students can go for the IAS, KAS like education instead doctors and engineering. We can get our own district candidates for the top government officials. He appreciated the school for organizing post silver jubilee celebrations with constructing new building.

Nalini Pradeep Rao President of Udupi Taluk Panchayat was also speaking during the occasion. One of the old student of the school, Dr. Jerry Vincent Dais, Janardhan Thonse Zilla Panchayat member and President of district Congress Committee and other guests on the dais spoke during the occasion.

Pushpa Kotian President of Kallianpur Grama Panchayat, Baptist Dias member Kallianpur Grama Panchayat and Entrepreneur, Gregory D’Souza Alumni, Dhananjay Amin Taluk Panchayat member, Melwyn Sequeira, Alumni, Dr. Nery Cornelio Vice President of Milagres Cathedral Parish Pastoral Council and President of Post Silver Jubilee celebrations committee, Sr. Sushila Monteiro Head Mistress of the school, Prakash President of Alumni Association, Sujay President of PTA, Bhuvan School Pupil Leader and other among were present.

Sr. Susheela Montiero placed the report of the school, Dr. Nery Cornelio welcomed the gatherings, Mukund Naik proposed vote of thanks and Herald D’Silva compered the programmes.


On the occasion of School Day cultural programmes like dance, skit and other entertainments were held during the occasion.
