Udupi : Splendid Performance by Students of Milagres Kallianpur Representing Udupi at State Athletic Meet Paves the Way to National Level Sports Meet.

Udupi District represented by the athletes of Milagres PU College, Kallianpur, Udupi created a new State meet record in 4x100 mts relay in a recently concluded Karnataka State Pre-University athletic meet held on 11-14th November 2017 at SMS college grounds, Brahmavara. Master Varun Adiga, Abin Devadiga, Mohammed Athif (All the three are students of Milagres PU College, Kallianpur) and Master Manikanta (Govt PU College Ajjarkad) were the part of this relay team who won  gold with new record timing in presence of huge local crowd and brought lots of cheers in the faces of host team.  To add to this, Master Sunny Antony D’Souza was honoured with Gold medal in Long Jump, Master Varun Adiga  consolidated his medal tally by winning Gold in 200 mts and a silver in 100 mts race. Master Abin Devadiga won Silver medal  in 200 mts along with the gold in relay. Master Mohammed Athif won 4x 400 mts Silver medal along with other runners of Govt PU College Ajjarkad.


Master Mervin Rodrigues was the reserved runner in 4 X100 mts relay, he secured 4th Place in 400 mts hurdles. He and Mr Dhanush from Milagres are selected as reserve runners at the National Level.

Milagres PU College rejoices at the splendid performances of its athletics who have made entire Udupi district proud in the State meet.

The Management under the mantle of V. Rev. Fr Stany B. Lobo, the Correspondent, Fr (Dr) Prakash Anil Castelino, Campus minister, Mrs Savitha Kumari K., the Principal, Physical Directors Kum. Vanishree, Shri Vinay Shet, Shri Steevan Pinto, Shri Dolwin Dias and Shri Nikil  wish all the atheletics a bright future at National and international level. May the name of Udupi District reach everyone as these atheletics fly high in their performance.
