Kallianpur Deanery level Jeevan Jyothi camp for High School Catholic students inaugurated



 

Udupi : Kallianpur Deanery level for the High School Catholic students Jeevan Jyothi, Jeevan Disha and Jeevan Amruth camps was inaugurated at Milagres Tri-Centenary Hall, Kallianpur near here on Wednesday, 11th October, 2017.

 

The camp was inaugurated by the Dean of Kallianpur Deanery and Rector of Milagres Cathedral, Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo.

 

In his inaugural address Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo said that the purpose of this most important camp would be to know the values of the Jesus Christ and know about the values and growth of our life. Whatever we do get better guidance of life should be filled in our bags while we go home and know about the better path of life with Jesus. He wished that the outcome of the camp should remain forever.

 

Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo presided over the inaugural programme. Rev Fr. Prakash Anil Castelino Campus Director of Milagres College and parish priest of Sacred Heart Church Kolalgiri, Rev Fr. Dr. Leslie D’Souza Parish priest of Mount Rosary Church, Kallianpur, Rev Fr. Jospeh Machado Parish Priest of St Peter’s Church, Pethri, Rev Fr. Victor D’souza Parish Priest of St Theresa Church, Kemmannu, Rev Fr. Francis Cornelio Parish Priest of St. Ann’s Church Thottam, Rev Fr. Lancy Fernandes SJ Principal of Milagres English High School and coordinator of the camp programme  and Dr. Nery Cornelio Vice President of Milagres Parish Pastoral Council present on the dais.

Rev Fr. Nelson Furtado, Rev Fr. Roshan D’Souza and Rev Fr. Lancy Fernandes SJ are the in charge for three days’ camp in different categories students.

Sr. Clany of Rose Convent Kallianpur proposed vote of thanks while Sr. Nisha and Sr. Clany compered the inaugural programme. YCS, Stree Sanghaton and Choir group members of Milagres Cathedral serving as volunteers during the camp days.

Large number of students from nine parishes, like Milagres Kallianpur, Mount Rosary Santhekatte, Kallianpur, St. Ann’s Thottam, St Therersa, Kemmannu, Sacred Heart, Kolalgiri, St Peter’s Barkur, St Peter’s Pethri, Holy Family Brahmavar and St Anthony’s Sasthan were present. Other priests, nuns of deanery convents and other among were present.
