Post Centenary celebrations of St. Joseph’s Higher Primary School will be held on 27th January

Udupi : The Post Centenary celebrations of St. Joseph’s Higher Primary School will be held on Friday, 27th January, 2017 at Milagres Tri-centenary Hall, Kallianpur near here.




Speaking to media persons at Udupi Press Club, Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo Correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions said that St. Joseph’s Higher Primary School in Kallianpur is under the management of Milagres Educational Institutions. In order to provide better education to the rural areas, then parish priest Rev Fr. Albert D’Souza in 1892 the primary level school established and popularly known as “Bolkavm School. Since 1892 till now the school has been provide light for the thousands of children.


He said that in the Brahmavar Educational zone one of the highest students in Kannada Medium school giving top most academic education which presently with 350 students. This school most popular in the district which providing free uniforms, books and stationery, aid for deserved students and so on along with smart classes, computer education, training in sports and other curricular activities for the betterment of the students of the school.




On the occasion of the Post Centenary celebrations of the school, the management planned for the new building for the school with necessary facilities which the present building is very old structure. Meanwhile on the occasion reserve fund for temporary teachers to be established and other needs  of the school to be established.

Rev Fr. Dr. Lawrence D’Souza Secretary of Catholic Education Society, Udupi diocese will preside the programme of Post Centenary celebrations. Jerry Vincent Dias Promoter of Mandavi Builders and Developers will inaugurate the programme. Nagesh Shanbaug Area Educational official will the chief guest.


Dr. Nery Cornelio Vice President of Milagres Parish Pastoral Council, Baptist Dias Vice President of Mount Rosary Church and Alumni, Prakash Alumni Association President and Sr. Susheela Montiero Headmistress of the school were present during the Press meet.
