Milagres Cathedral Kallianpur observed the Day of Religious

Udupi : Day of Religious was observed at Milagres Cathedral on the occasion of its building Plantinum Jubilee celebrations at Kallianpur on Saturday, 10th December, 2016.













































































The Eucharistic Mass was concelebrated by Rev Fr. Roshan Menezes Episcopal Vicar for Religious, Diocese of Udupi along with Msgr. Dr. Baptist Menezes Vicar General of Udupi Diocese, parishioners priests across India, parish assistant priests, Chaplain of Ozanum and Pilar Father Priests.

In his homily Msgr Baptist Menezes pointed out four important mission of Jesus Christ gave not only priests and religious but all baptized faithful on the day of Last Supper of Jesus Christ for his disciples. Prayer, Love, Service and forgiveness are four missions given to priests and religious by the Jesus. Priests are chosen by the God. Jesus said to his disciples that Be a prayerful person, be a loving disciple, be a serving disciple and be a forgiving disciples.

After the mass get together of priests and religious nuns and felicitation programme held at Milagres Tri Centenary Hall. Prof. Hilda Rodrigues Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council on behalf of Parishioners and priests delivered her experienced congratulatory beautiful remarks.

Msgr Baptist Menezes was addressed his presidential remarks. On behalf of the Parishioners priests and nuns Rev Fr. Wilfred Lewis, Rev Fr. George Lewis and Sr. Zean expressed gratitude for organizing the Day of Religious with their experience of priesthood and nun.

On behalf of the Church honoured all participated nuns and priests with the memento. Fr George Lewis distributed to all participants his edited book on ‘A method of praying without distraction of praying with devine peace with divine joy and with divine sweetness.

 Walter Cyril Pinto Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council proposed vote of thanks. Rev Fr Prakash Anil Castelino compered the programme. Fr. Rolwin Aranha, Rev Fr. Henry Mascarenhas Chaplain of Ozanam Home, Rev Fr. Herold Mathias and Rev Fr. Nelson Furtado of Pilar Fathers were present.
