Day of Remembrance of the Deceased Parihioners held at Milagres Cathedral, Kallianpur

Udupi : On the occasion of Platinum Jubillee celebrations of Milagres Cathedral Church Building at Kallianpur, Day of Remembrance of the Deceased Parishioners’ on 9th December, 2016.









































































The Holy Eucharist celebration co-celebrated by Rev Fr. Vincent Fernandes parishioner and Rector of Minor Seminary, Diocese of Mysuru along with Rev Fr. Joseph D’Souza Carmalite, parishioner, serving for Diocese of Ballary, Rev Fr. Anthony Fernandes parishioner, Rev Fr. Ronson D’Souza of Holy Cross, parishioner and parish priest of Katpady Church,Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo Rector of Cathedral, Rev Fr. Herold Mathias and Rev Fr. Nelson Furtado of Pilar Fathers, Rev Fr. Prakash Anil Castalino and Rev Fr. Rolwin Aranha Assistant parish priests.

In his homily Rev Fr. Joseph D’souza pointed out why we should remember our deceased one and pray for them. When there is love there will be God almighty. When we pray for our deceased close people then the deceased beloved one surely pray for us. Where there is Love there is God, a path to closer union with God and greater love for others who deceased. We believe the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In its haste to embrace the concept of immortality of the soul, Jesus paid a royalty for our sins. We should love and serve one another that God loves us. We should repent our sins and convert into better life.

After the mass, Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo placed his brief announcement regarding the celebrations of Platinum Jubilee of the church.

The large faithful were followed by candle light procession to the church cemetery and held the prayers. Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo conducted the prayer services in the cemetery and blessed the cemetery. The faithful of the church were stand near their beloved tombs.


On Saturday, 10th December, Day of Religious will celebrated and Rt Rev Msgr Baptist Menezes, Vicar General of Udupi diocese will be the main celebrant of the Eucharist at 4.30pm.
