Milagres College Athletic Meet 2012-13 : images
Kallianpur : Milagres College & Milagres PU College athletic meet 2012/13 was held on 20th December, at College grounds. Mr. Chanrashekar Hegde Physical Director of SMS College, executives of Milagres Alumni Association and President of Physical Teachers Association of Mangalore University was the chief guest. AllenVinay L4wis Prsident of Milagres College Alumni Association, Edward Lewis President of PTA Milagres College and Jyothi Lewis PTA President of PU College were the guests of honour. Very Rev Fr. Stany Lobo was presided the occasion.
Beautiful and Ceremonial March past was held with the college band. College flag was hoisted by Edward Lewis and Allen Vinay Lewis lighted the Athletic tourch. Chandrashekar Hegde was declared the sport meet open. Chandrshekar Hegde all praise for the college for the outstanding achievments and awards in university level and national level, it was great achievments under the leadership and guidance from great Physical Director of the college Augustine Dais.Now a days students not participating in sports due to various reasons. But in this college students participated large number of students in the sports meet which shows extraordinary efforts of Augustine Dais. He is going to retire very shorty and we should salute him for his outstanding service.
Dr Nery Cornelio Principal of the college also spoke during the occasion. There was honouring ceremony was held for Kishore Kumar S. of II PU who took part in the 50th Annual Athletic Champianship 2012 organisd by Srilanka Track and Field Club and won 2nd place in 200 mts, 400mts race and relay held at Srilanka. Jasmine D'Souza of IInd B.Com took part in 4th Asia Inter Continental WUKF Karate Champianship a New Delhi. She has partcipated in the Team Kata events and won First place.Meanwhile Augustine Dais and Sarogini M Typist both going to retire were honoured during the occasion.
Earlier Rev Fr. Ivan Rodigregues PU College Principal welcomed the gatherings and given prizes. Augustine Dais proposed vote of thanks. Two days sports meet was ended with several new records.
