School Fest of St. Josephs Higher Primary School, Kallianpur celebrated

Udupi : St. Joseph’s Higher Primary School, Kallianpur celebrated “Shala Habba” School Fest on Thursday, 26thNovember, 2015. The dignitaries were escorted with the school brass band from School to Milagres Tri-centenary Hall.


The program began with fantastic prayer dance by the school students. The stage programme was held with the president ship of Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo Correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions. Smt. Pushpa S. Kotian President of Kallianpur Grama Panchayat, Sujay Poojary President of PTA, Smt. Sulochana President of School Development Committee, Walter Cyril Pinto Vice President of Milagres Cathedral Parish Pastoral council and Sr. Susheela Montiero Head Mistress of the school were present on the dais.































































































Sr. Susheela Montiero placed school academic report. The felicitation for donors and achievers were held. Academic merit certificate with prizes were given to the students in excellence. During in her speech Pushpa S. Kotian said that it is indeed need to give importance to not only curricular activities of the school but also should give importance to the non curricular activities to display the talents of the students. In  his speech Walter Cyril Pinto gave statistics that in Brahmavar region only three Kannanda medium schools having more than 300 students. They are St. Joseph’s Higher Primary School, LVT. Higher Primary School Nittur both under Milagres Management and Nirmala School of Brahmavar. Due to the valuable education and standard it might be attracting students to get seat from these school. St. Joseph’s School existed since 123 years which thousands of students got educational foundation from our management school will the great. The school was established at 1898.

Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo blessed the occasion and gave his presidential address. More than 360 students get education in our institution which one of the achievements of the staff and others  who provide standard education with better values of life. But we have only 7 teachers who get salaries from the government out of 15 staff. The management giving salaries to several teachers not sufficient will be the management concern. Even though school in tremendous all round developments.

Earlier Herald D’Silva welcomed the gatherings. Students of the school delivered vote of thanks at the end of stage programme.


 There are varieties of dances, skit and other entertainment programmes were held after the stage progreamme. Students itself compered the programmes. Large number of students, parents, donours and well wishers enjoyed the Shalla Habba 2015.
