Milagres Institutions bid farewell to Rev. Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves.


Udupi : The bid farewell function to Rev Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves, Principal of Milagres Pre University College Kallianpur near here held at Milagres College Silver Jubilee Hall on Wednesday, 23rd September, 2015.

Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo Correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions presided over the occasion. Rev Fr. Gerald D’Souza Secretary of Catholic Education Board, Mangalore was the chief guest. Dr. Nery Cornelio Principal of Milagres Graduate & Post Graduate College, Walter Cyril Pinto Vice President of Milagres Cathedral Parish Pastoral Council, Vijay Sequiera President of Parents Teacher Association and Matilda Lewis staff representative, Milagres P U College were present on the dais.

After the invocation, Saudamani Rao welcomed the gatherings. Rev Fr. Gerald D’Souza and guests on the dais inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp. Manisha Benny student of IInd PUSc., and other class representative spoke about their Principal Rev Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves. From the faculty side Florine D’Silva, History Lecturer  and Delfine Martis from non-teaching staff spoke about the Principal.
Prior to the felicitation programme for Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves, Elvis read out the letter of appreciation on Principal who is going retire on 30th September, 2015. Fr. Ferdinand who gave tireless service to the college was felicitated by the guests on the dais. Later he was honoured with garlands, flower and so on by the members of staff and non teaching staff, PTA members, students representatives and others as well.

After the felicitation Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves gave gratitude to all concerned during his career as priest, Headmaster, Principal and so on. He gave gratitude to the correspondent, staff, degree Principal and the staff and all concerned.

Rev Fr. Gerald D’Souza, Dr. Nery Cornelio, Vijay  Sequiera, Walter Cyril Pinto and others spoke on Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves  for his outstanding service to the college. Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo gave his presidential address.

Matilda Lewis delivered vote of thanks while Loyleeta compared the programme.
