Milagres College, Kallianur Men bagged winners of University Inter collegiate Table Tennis Tournament

Udupi : Milagres College Kallianpur bagged winners of Mangalore University level Men’s Table Tennis Tournament 2015/16 and St. Aloysius College Mangalore bagged runners’ up during the Mangalore University level Inter Collegiate Table Tennis Tournament held at Milagres Tri-centenary Hall on Tuesday, 4th August, 2015.

The Mangalore University and Milagres College, Kallianpur organized the Two days Mangalore University Inter Collegiate Tournament 2015/16 which was inaugurated on Monday, 3rd August by Dr. Jerry Vincent Dias President of Udupi Builders’ Association. Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo presided the inaugural programme. Retired Physical Education Director Augustine Dias, Dr. Nerry Cornelio Principal of Milagres College and other among present on the dais.

There were 44 teams participated during the two days tournament. The Valedictory function was presided by Dr. Nery Cornelio who welcomed the gatherings. Valentine D’Souza Police Inspector of CCB, Mangalore, International Body Builder, Sports person  was the chief guest. Janardhan Thonse President of Udupi Urban Development Authority, Augustine Dias former Physical director of Milagres College, Kishore Kumar Director of Physical Education, University of Mangalore and Dollwin Dias Physical Director of Host Milagres College were present on the dais.

Dollwin Dias delivered vote of thanks while two days program was compered by Prof. Joseph Fernandes of Department of Chemistry.

Men :

First Place   -   Milagres College, Kallianpur

Second Place – St. Alousious College, Mangalore

Third Place – S.V.S. College, Bantwal,

Fourth Place – Poornaprajna College, Udupi

Man of the Tournament  and Best Player – Bernard D’Souza, Milages College, Kallianpur


Women :

First Place   -   S. D. M. Ujre,

Second Place – Poornaprajna College, Udupi

Third Place – St. Agnes College, Mangalore,

Fourth Place – Alva’s College, Moodubidri.
