Milagres Cathedral bids sentimental farewell to Rev Fr. Mahesh DSouza.


Udupi : The sentimental farewell to Rev Fr. Mahesh D’Souza Assistant Parish Priest of Milagres Cathedral who first ordained priest of Udupi Diocese served for Milagres Cathedral for two memorable years at Milagres Cathedral, Kallianpur near here held after the first mass on Sunday, 7th June, 2015. As per the order from the Bishop he will be transferred to neighboring Mount Rosary Church as Asst. Parish Priest with effect from 8th June, 2015.

He served as Asst. Parish Priest for only two years, but what sentimental movements of the parishioners, specially from Youths at large, Choir men, parish council members, students, elders etc, etc. during the short program of bid farewell for Fr. MAHESH.

During the farewell function Walter Cyril Pinto Vice President of Milagres Parish Council on behalf of parishioners’ handed over the letter of appreciation and bouquet of flowers handed over to Fr. Mahesh.

Later during in his words of gratitude Fr. Mahesh was very much sentimental that all loved him were in flood of tears specially youths, choir team and parishioners at large. This reporter would like to express that what most people need to learn in life is how to love people and use things instead of using people and loving things. Fr Mahesh has such a friend is one that knows you as you are, understands where you have been, accepts what you have become and still gently allows you to grow.

The Rector of the Cathedral Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo spoke during the occasion and wished Fr. Mahesh for his coming pastoral service.

Large number of parishioners participated during the farewell function and wished him all the best in his future pastoral service.

Later bid farewell function held by Choir team of Milagres at church conference hall. The letter of appreciation handed over by Jyothi Lewis on behalf of Choir team of Milagres. Choir head Sylvia Lewis and other Choir members attended the farewell function to Fr, Mahesh. At the end all sentimental atmosphere at Milagres Cathedrel. All the best Fr. Mahesh.
