Milagres College celebrated Annual College Day

Udupi : Milagres College Kallianpur celebrated College Day on Friday, 20th February, 2015 at Milagres Tri-centenary Hall. Most Rev Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo Bishop of Udupi Diocese presided the occasion.

Very Rev Msgr. Dr. Baptist Menezes Vicar General of Udupi Diocese was the chief guest. Rev Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves Principal of Milagres Pre-university College was the guest of honour. Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo Correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions, Dr, Nery Cornelio Principal of Milagres College, Edward Lewis President of Parents Teachers Association, Prof. Shylet Mathais Secretary of Staff Council, Dafney D’Souza President of Students Welfare Council, Nithesh Vice President, Dinesh Acharya Secretary, Chaitra Naik Hoint Secretary and Sneh Treasurer were present on the dais.

Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo welcomed the gatherings. Dr. Nery Cornelio placed huge academic college annual report. Meanwhile Dinesh Acharya placed Students Welfare Council annual report.

Miss Sakshi Mallya 6th Rank Holder in B.Com., and Miss Chaitha Poojary 9th Rank in B. Sc., in Mangalore University were felicitated by the Bishop. Prof Herald Monis introduced Sakshi Mallya and Dr. Gerald Pinto introduced Chaitra Poojary prior to the felicitations. Sports Achievers who participated in National level and state level were also felicitated during the occasion by the Bishop.

Scholarships and prizes also distributed during the occasion. Fr. Baptist Menezes and Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves spoke during the occasion.

Bishop gave his presidential speech. He said Milagres College is temple of learning which provide one of the best education and values to the students equally without any caste and religion differences. The college management loves as human and shaping the destiny of the students.

Prof. Shalet Mathais proposed vote of thanks. Jesten D’Souza and Sr. compered the stage program. After the lunch to all cultural programmes were held. Solo dance, group dance, Solo singing and dual singing, mimicry etc, entertained the gatherings.
