Milagres Cathedral celebrates Annual Parochial Feast with devotion & fervour


Udupi : Annual Parochial Feast of Milagres Cathedral held with devotion and fervor at Kallianpur on Wednesday, 21st January, 2015. The Feast High Solemn mass under the main celebrant His Lordship Most Rev Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo along with guest priests, parishioner priests and deanery feast except Barkur church were celebrated the mass.

Prior to the high mass the pirjent of the annual feast Rohit Lewis, Rita Lewis and Richard Lewis accorded at the Cathedral entrance by the parish Priest Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo. Candles were distributed to honour Benefactors and parish pastoral council members.

Rev Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves gave his meaningful festive homily and said that Milagres Church having around 338 years of faithful history in its own. Our Lady of Miracles through her Son of Lord Jesus shown and gave abundant graces for the parish in various ways. Mother of Miracles has patron of the diocese as well as patron of Our Church. WE should thank God that Mother of Miracles gave us as Patron of our church. The meaningful homily gave excellent impression among the devotees of  Milagres.

At the end Rector of the Cathedral gave gratitude to all concerned during the year. He conveyed best wishes to all parishioners, guests and others on the occasion of the Annual feast. He gave gratitude to Bishop and all priests for the participation of the mass. Pirjent of the feast honoured with decorated candles by the Bishop. During in his festive message Bishop outlined the diocese pastoral programmes.

The ICYM and YCS put up stalls for funny and housie housie games.
