Frontal view of Milagres Church during 1960s - an Oil paint image

Udupi : Owen Rodrigues, parishioner of Milagres Cathedral, Kallianpur attached the oil painting of portico of Milagres Church frontal view actually seen during 1960’s when he was a little boy and that is how he remember it.

During in his media release Owen Rodrigues given his statement that  "In those days available colours were only, lime mixed with blue, lime mixed with kavi and lime mixed with yellow. Hence for the portico yellow shade was given. Further the ‘thor’ had cement plaster and due to changes in weather & moss formation has changed to a yellowish grey shade. The portico had kavi coloured cement flooring. I enjoyed painting this as it came in to shape even though it took a little more time ( about six months). I took up brush after 40 years as I was busy working and now after retiring I planned that I will develop/ practice all of them for which I couldn’t had time. My love for paining and music remained in me as it is."

At present Owen Rodrigues has been serving active member of Milagres Cathedral Choir team. We all wish him every best in his retirement life.
