The Career Guidance Seminar held at Milagres College
Kallianpur, June 29, 2014 : Milagres College, Kallianpur Career Guidance Cell, Catholic Sabha Milagres Cathedral unit and Pudhar Pratisthan, Mangalore jointly organized Career Guidance seminar for Ist Year PUC students at Milagres College Silver Jubilee Hall on Saturday, 28th June, 2014.
Dr. Nery Cornelio Principal of Milagres College presided the inaugural occasion. Rev Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves Principal of Milagres PU College was inaugurated the seminar. Dr. Gerald Pinto Convener of Career Guidance Cell of the college person behind the seminar, Dr. Jayarama Shettigar HOD of History Department and Lancy Martis of Commerce Department of the college were resource persons along with Mrs. Felciana Lewis President of Catholic Sabha Milagres Cathedral Unit and Hubert Lewis President of Catholic Sabha Kallianpur Deanery were present on the dais.
Speaking on the inaugural address Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves said that it might be difficult to choose right courses. Students need to consider the dream of the career. Students always have a choice in life that they are always responsible for the choices they make. We do not have life without certain ambition. Milagres College and PU College since several years providing proper guidance from top most personalities to make their choices of career courses.
Dr. Nery Cornelio gave his presidential address that under the leadership of Dr. Gerald Pinto since several years college providing all help for the students in the college which students take advantage from the seminar. He thanked all concerned for the organizing the successful career guidance seminar.
Earlier the program commenced with invocation prayer lead by Mellissa Lewis. Dr. Gerald Pinto Convener of Career Guidance Cell was welcomed the gatherings. Larissa Lewis compered the program while Mrs. Felciana Lewis proposed vote of thanks.
The students who participated in the seminar were able to set career goals, narrow down the list of the careers based on their strengths and set career plan about what they want to pursue to in higher education.
