Annual School Day of St. Josephs Higher Primary School celebrated


Kallianpur : St Joseph’s Higher Primary School here celebrated Annual School Day on Thursdau, 12th December, 2013. School Day was inaugurated in the morning by Rev Fr. Mahesh D’Souza Head Master of Milagres English Medium Schools Kallianpur. Shri Sathish President of Kallianpur Grama Panchayat was presided the inaugural occasion. Chief guests Praveen Kumar Shetty Educational Official, Manipal Hobali, Brahmaver, Shri Praveen Shetty C.R.P. Kallianpur Cluster, Brahmaver and Smt. Lilly Nazareth Retd. Headmaster of St. Joseph’s were present.

School Day celebration in the evening which was presided by Very Rev Fr. Stany. B. Lobo Correspondent of the Milagres Institutions. Smt. Hilda Rodrigues Retd Prof of Milagres College was the chief guest. Sr. Susheela Monteiro Headmistress, Prakash PTA Prisident and  Nirmitha School S.D.M.C were present on the dais.

Sr. Susheela placed the report of the school for the academic year and member of PTA placed the report of Parents Teachers Association for the year. Academic prizes  and scholarships were distributed during the occasion. Meanwhile felicitation program was held for donors of the schools. During the occasion Peter D’Sa, Lilly Nazareth, Shobha D’Souza, Shrikumar Shetty, Gelbert Simon D’Souza, Shekar Baikady and in the name of late Lilly D’Sa Joseph D’Sa were felicitated.

Retd. Prof. Hilda Rodrigues spoke during occasion and said that education is life. Most of the personalities who studied in Kannanda medium school are shining in their life. She gave some of the hints to both students and parents for successful education and life.

Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo during his presiding address said that government has providing now annadhana, milk, eggs and many more to students but not providing necessary teachers for the school which badly needed. We have various infrastructures to the school for the betterment of our students. Students should make use of it.

Students were compered the programs. Various entertainments were held during the occasion. Large number of people participated and enjoyed the Annual School Day. St. Joseph’s School one of the oldest school in the area which more than 450 students in the school.
